Admissions Requirements
Catalog Year: 2018

This program is open to qualified high school seniors or juniors in their second semester and adult students. Students must be 16 years or older on or before the first day class. In addition, students must meet the following program requirements:

  • Adult students must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass Davis Tech Admissions TABE Test in reading, grade level 7.4 or higher.*
    • Some admission testing may be waived with the following documentation:
      • Reading test taken in the last year: TABE grade level 7.4 or higher, Accuplacer 90 or higher.
      • Taken in the last five years: ACT minimum score of 17, SAT minimum score of 440 in English.
      • Additional documentation: College transcript showing English 0955 with a "C"; grade or better completed within the last two years or an Associate's Degree or higher.
  • Tuberculosis (TB) screening.**
  • Obtain a Hepatitis B Immunization.**

*In most cases, students who need assistance with these skills can be enrolled in Skill Development classes either before starting their training program or concurrently while enrolled in the program.

**Immunization requirements may vary depending on clinical site requirements. Additional immunizations may be needed.

NOTE: Any misdemeanor or felony conviction on record may negatively impact the chances of completing the program, being placed on an externship site, and obtaining employment in a health care setting. See instructor for more information.
