Radiology Practical Technician program

This course prepares students to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography Examination to become a Radiology Practical Technician. A licensed RPT can engage in a practice of radiologic technology performing limited diagnostic radiology procedures. Students in this course [PROGRAM] will learn the principles of radiation including safety, use of equipment, quality control in processing images and criteria for image evaluation. Students will learn the ethical and legal aspects of industry as well as professionalism, communication, and how to work effectively with patients. Students will get hands-on experience in positioning patients, using equipment and evaluating images in a lab setting.
