The testing room is a secured testing site with audio, video, and Proctor monitoring in progress. All testers must follow the Assessment Center rules to maintain a quiet and secure testing experience.
To ensure a positive experience for all customers, testers with strong odors such as smoke, body odor, or lotion/perfume may not be permitted in the testing room.
All testers are required to provide a physical copy of a valid photo ID. Some exams require two forms of valid ID. Photocopies or pictures of IDs are not accepted. ID requirements are specific to each exam type. If you have questions on what type of ID is accepted for your exam, please contact the Assessment Center.
Pearson Vue exams must be rescheduled through Pearson Vue a minimum of 48 hours prior to the test date (see test confirmation email for more information). Failure to reschedule timely will result in a loss of your testing fees.
All other exams and proctoring services may be rescheduled one time without penalty. Contact the Assessment Center at 801-593-2210 to reschedule a minimum of 24 hours prior to the test date.
Keep personal items to a minimum. A small locker will be provided. Any items that do not fit in the locker must be left in your vehicle.
All personal items will be stored in a locker during testing. Personal items include but not limited to all outerwear (sweaters, jackets, coats, zip-up hoodies, etc.), hats, beanies, scarves, large jewelry and hair accessories, wallets, keys, all electronic devices including cellphones, Fitbit, wrist watches (all types), pens and pencils, scratch paper, sunglasses, purses, backpacks, and headphones.
Cell phones must be turned off or on airplane mode.
No food products, candy, gum, or drinks (including water) are allowed in the testing room. Opened drinks without a screw-top lid are not allowed in the lockers.
Testing Items approved by the exam client or approved accommodation items through the exam client or the Davis Tech ADA Coordinator will be inspected before being allowed in the testing room.
Children are not permitted in the assessment area or left unattended in the hall. Please make appropriate arrangements for childcare.
Audio and video monitoring and recording of test taking is in progress at all times. Proctors also monitor testers through the use of security cameras, observation windows, and by walking through the testing room.
If you need assistance due to technical issues, please quietly raise your hand.
There is no talking in the testing room, sharing of testing materials or notes, or reference to exam content is allowed.
Studying in the Assessment waiting room is not permitted.
Unless specified by the exam client, restroom breaks are not allowed during testing. Please use the restroom before you arrive for testing. Testers without authorized bathroom breaks will not be readmitted to the testing room if they leave before the exam has been completed and ended.
Any suspected or blatant issues concerning exam integrity, dishonesty, or disruption will be reported to the testing client and Director of Student Services. You may be asked to leave the Assessment Area.
