Application Information
For High School Students applying for Cosmetology, Master Esthetician, and Nail Technician programsStudent Eligibility:
- Cosmetology and Master Esthetician: HS Senior, age 16+
- Nail Technician: HS Junior/Senior, age 16+
Application Period/Deadlines:
Applications for Cosmetology and Master Esthetician are open from mid-January through February. Students must apply as follows:
- Cosmetology and Master Esthetician: During their junior year for senior-year placement
- Nail Technician: During their sophomore year for junior-year
NOTE: Applications for Nail Technician have an extended application period; however, early applications are strongly recommended, as the program remains highly competitive.
Application Expectations/Point System:
Each application starts with a basic rubric on what must be included. Each section details the specific criteria.
- Example: Letter of Intent, single page, typed, grammatically correct, follow criteria, etc
- Transcripts: Anatomy/Physiology grades earn points as follows; A=4 pts; B=3 pts; C=2 pts
- Recommendation: Read each section carefully and follow directions to maximize potential points
High School Cost
- Tuition is waived for high school students
- Students pay:
- $40 annual HS fee + program fees
- program kit(s)
- books
- scrubs
- smocks
- etc.
- Davis Tech Senior Scholarship available - students may be awarded up to 100% of their program cost after graduation, or for 1 year, whichever comes first
Available Schedules
- 8:00am to 3:00pm, Mon-Fri (includes 11am-12pm break)
- 12:00pm to 6:00pm, Mon-Fri
- 3:00pm-9:00pm, Mon-Thu
- Two start dates per school year: April & Sept.
